Reddit, the online social news aggregation and social media platform. has a subreddit called r/Sticks, hyped as "the greatest subreddit for your Stick-tacular Shenanigans", where contributors post photos of sticks they find that resemble something interesting. Other members "rate" the finds based on grip, weight distribution and "cool factor". Contributors have posted sticks that look like household items, animals, mythical creatures, celebrities -- you name it, they have posted it. In 2008, Japanese artist Yasushi "Yassan" Takahashi traveled over 7,100 kilometers (4,400+ miles) across Japan for six months (he quit his job to do this) to create the world's largest GPS drawing as a marriage proposal to his girlfriend, Natsuki. By mapping his route on Google Earth to spell "MARRY ME" with a heart, he not only set a Guinness World Record for the largest GPS drawing by an individual, he also "won" the heart of his now wife with his unique and ambitious marriage proposal.
