After helping rebuild the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, after the devastating 2019 fire, a carpenter who worked on the restoration was given special permission to have the first wedding held there in 30 years. Martin Lorentz spent three years reconstructing the oak roof ("the forest") and was granted special permission by Archbishop Laurent Ulrich to wed his bride there last October. The wedding was authorized to honor the artisans who rebuilt the cathedral, with roughly 500 guests present, including many fellow workers. As the couple left, fellow carpenters performed a guard of honor, raising their axes in salute. Have you ever visited Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris?

Canada is a great place to live for universal health care, which is a right, and not a privilege. However, just like anything, some people do take advantage. According to think tank SecondStreet.org, which examines how government policies affect Canadians' lives, one Quebec resident recorded 362 appointments with a family doctor in 2024. In fact, the data also showed that 11,586 people saw a doctor between 51 and 100 times in 2024, while 1,611 Quebecers had 100 or more appointments. Quebec far exceeds the normal amount of physician visits compared to all the other provinces in Canada. Why Quebec? No one really knows why, but how many times do you visit the doctor on a yearly basis (this is any doctor)?
