I'm always telling people when they request my name, it's a long one...but not even close to this man's name. The longest personal name with 2,253 unique words belongs to Laurence Watkins of Auckland, New Zealand. This record first appeared in the 1992 edition of Guinness World Records. Laurence, born Laurence Gregory Watkins changed his name via Deed Poll at the age of 24. He worked in the city library at the time and picked names out of books and through recommendations from co-workers. His full name (emphasis on full) is so long it would take him 20 minutes just to say it all. For interest, the photo attached is his full name, but apparently, you can just call him "Larry". Thankfully. Do you know anyone with an especially long name?

As prom season is in full swing, one high school in Ontario is carrying on with a tradition the school has done since 2016. Instead of the traditional prom, Grade 12 students from Saugeen District Senior School in Port Elgin, Ontario, host a heartwarming "senior prom" every June. Instead of traditional dates, students pair with long-term care residents for an evening of dancing, 1950s-themed food, and storytelling. This intergenerational event, which has become an annual tradition, provides meaningful connection for both generations and the graduating students get so much more out of it than a traditional prom. Do you agree this is a great idea?
Definitely!

It's nice, but they may miss out on a right of passage for high school
