When your hit song tells someone named Janice to be quiet (actually STFU) the least you can do is throw them a party. That's exactly what Canadian rapper Drake is doing. The rapper says he's making it up to Janices everywhere by hosting exclusive apology parties in several cities, with invitations reserved for people who actually have the name. Is your name Janice?

One of these parties took place in Toronto, Ontario (Drake's hometown and where he resides) at the trendy Cactus Club. The other parties took place in Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York. Janices, who were required to RSVP beforehand to a JSTFU email address and show government-issued photo ID at the door, were treated to a sit-down, three-course lunch with bottomless bellinis and tens of thousands of dollars in door-prize money. It drew Janices from near and far – from all across Canada. Surprisingly although Janice seems like a name popular in the 60s and 70s, the crowd of Janices were aged from over 60 to as young as 21. When I was in school, Janice was a fairly popular name, but in recent years, the name has definitely faded away in popularity.
