Yesterday I went to 5 Guys Hamburgers where they have free peanuts for customers. The peanuts are in boxes, metal scoops are provided as are small paper trays to hold the peanuts. A man waiting for his hamburger order was eating peanuts directly out of the box, putting them in his mouth and then dropping the shells back into the box. I had to say something because I am a germ-a-phobic and what he was doing drove me up the wall. I asked him to please use a paper tray because what he was doing was unsanitary. If he could have, he probably would have knocked me over. He didn't stop.
