My son just attended Grad night at Disneyland, the price of admission was $95.00. I attended in 1972 and paid $9.00. In 1975 general admission to Disneyland ranged from $5.25 - $6.00 + the cost of a coupon booklet $7.50 - $8.25 for a "12 Adventure Book". Today the price of admission is $96.00. Comparing the prices do you think cost increase matches the overall rate of inflation?

(Less than three months after opening, in 1955, Disney began selling "Value Books", each contained several of each coupon labeled "A" through "C", to supplement the pay-per-ride system. Attractions were then designated as "A", "B", or "C" attractions. Visitors needed to either purchase a specified coupon from a nearby booth or present the discount coupon book with the correct coupon attached.)
