The unique and striking design of the museum, designed by American architect Antoine Predock, is more than a fantastic building. It is a concrete symbol of our struggle for human rights. The unique architecture parallels the human rights journey -- it requires some effort and has a few twists and turns, but is very rewarding to complete. The museum has a subterranean feel at the ground level, where you enter, but the higher you go, the closer to daylight you get. And the Tower of Hope ascends into the sky. Here are just a few interesting facts about the museum and the location it is built on. Which ones are you aware of?

Of course, the real triumph of the museum is its incredible exhibits and displays, all focusing on the human rights issues that have defined out past, influenced out present and shed light on our future. With a primary focus on First Nations, Inuit and Metis people, the museum documents lived experiences of human rights in Canada and abroad. Which of these human rights stories are you interested in (all of which are featured in this museum)?

Personally, I would think Iran would be on the worst list, having worked with several human rights organizations focused on trying to shed light on the atrocities happening in that country. Are there any countries you feel should be on that list?
