Results: Child Bride Sold On Facebook
Published on 11/21/2018
Facebook is under fire once again for allowing a child bride to be auctioned off on its platform. A father recently held an auction for his 16-year-old daughter living in South Sudan to be married. Facebook found out about the auction 15 days after it took place. A spokesperson for the company released a statement that said "Any form of human trafficking -- whether posts, pages, ads or groups is not allowed on Facebook. We removed the post and permanently disabled the account belonging to the person who posted this to Facebook."
