Wolves share the compound with cougars, bobcats, lynx, hawks, owls, vultures, skunks, opossums, foxes, and a variety of exotic reptiles. The sanctuary is dedicated to helping all species of exotic animals who, for various reasons, find themselves without a place to live out their lives. Many of them are victims of divorce, foreclosure, financial hardship or were purchased by people who were ill-prepared for the specialized care that most of these animals require. It is an animal rescue and preservation establishment. In addition to housing unwanted exotic species, they educate the public about responsible animal ownership.
