We have always relied on our 5 senses to validate reality and its how we navigate the world around us. I'm intrigued with how much we trust what our senses tell us despite the constant confirmation that our senses are 100% relative and can't be relied on as fact or truth or proof of reality. Have you ever tried to explain what something "looks, tastes, sounds, feels or smells" like to someone that's never experienced "that" particular sense? Here's an example... Try describing the taste of salt to someone who hasn't experienced having taste, or... Try to describe what the color white looks like to a blind person. Another curiosity about our senses... what one person might experience, another person experiences completely different.. Example... The ink blot test, or.. Those internet quizzes asking "what color or shape" you see, I seen blue but my daughter saw gold!! How...?? ? And then there's the fact that our senses lie to us ALL the time, everyday!!! Example... Everytime you check your side mirror while driving, what does it warn you, everytime?!?.... "Things in mirror are closer than they appear." ?
