Nearly half of Canadians support ending the Temporary Foreign Worker program
A new poll shows 44% of Canadians want to end the Temporary Foreign Worker program, with support highest among younger age groups and in the Prairie provinces. Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre recently proposed scrapping the program in response to high youth unemployment, which hit 14.6% in July. While most Conservatives support the move, opinions are divided among Liberals, and Prime Minister Mark Carney has ruled out ending the program.
