I have been working 80 hours a week since Christmas to help out for someone on maternity leave. I was very tired when I added the oil. It was windy that day, and when I got home, I told my husband that the car was smoking and perhaps the wind blew some splatters of oil on the car. He then drove my car, even though he has his own, to his job. The car was smoking the whole way there, and he was even told by a co-worker 30 minutes after arriving at work that the car was still smoking. He chose to ignore it. Who is to blame?

My husband then ran a few errands on his way home from work, again, the car is smoking the entire drive. Only after the inside of the car filled up with smoke did he realize that something was seriously wrong. By the time he pulled over, my car was engulfed in flames and is now unsalvageable. I have asking my husband for months to either change the oil in my car or take it to a shop. I hardly have time to do anything but sleep and catch up on housework. He has ignored my requests to have the oil changed, so I have been adding a quart of oil here and there to keep my car from stalling. Who is to blame?

My husband was driving my car when it caught on fire. The firefighters have determined that the fire was caused by oil spurting out of the motor. I added oil and forgot to put the oil cap back on. Who is to blame?

I am now shopping for a new/used car. My husband thinks I should get a car that is standing on it's last leg/tire because I obviously don't know how to care for a vehicle. What do you think?
