Within the past few years research has been done with gene transference in the hope that it may help the fight against AIDS. In one study, genes were taken from jellyfish and placed into cat test subjects. The cats glowed in the dark (either red or green) when the transference was successful. The jellyfish gene is used to track another gene that is useful for fighting off HIV. Do you think this project is an appropriate way to find a cure for AIDS? Yes, a cure is needed despite other costs.
