No, not cats. Cats. The Musical. Who would have thought that a 1939 T.S. Eliot poetry collection called "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" could be turned it into one of the longest running musical of all time? Although it opened first in London in 1981 and then on Broadway in 1982 , on December 25, the big screen, star-studded movie premiere of Cats will open. Are you going to see Cats?

Initial reviews have been a bit cat-astrophic. In fact, the reviews have ranged from "Cats leaves behind a memory that's best forgotten" to " a purr-fectly dreadful hairball of woe". Actually, Cats was turned into a direct to video adaption back in 1998, to much better reviews. But then, it was a filmed adaption of the stage musical, shot in London's Adelphi Theatre, and directed by David Mallet. Did you ever see this version?
