It seems that only over the past decade or so that the kinds of hair coloring and coiffures referenced in the two prior questions have gained popularity, at least where I live, among people who aren't involved in entertainment businesses, I'm thinking especially of certain music styles, such as hardcore punk rock and some sub-genres of electronic music. Why these hair trends have increased in popularity mystifies me, but have you any idea as to why they have?
