One of my favorite childhood confections was Bazooka's short-lived Bubble Fudge bubble gum. The only online evidence I've found to support my fond memory of it is the TV commercial above. Do you recall Bubble Fudge?

As its name implies and the commercial makes clear, Bubble Fudge was bubble gum that tasted (very much) like chocolate fudge. It wasn't the first chocolate-flavored chewing gum, but was likely the first intended for bubble blowing. Whether you've ever tried Bubble Fudge, does its flavor and texture combination seem appealing to you? Sure does!

One reason for Bubble Fudge's brief retail life may be that, at least to my tongue, once its fudge flavor faded, it tasted something like rubber bands (yes, I know this). It didn't bother me, but it may have not suited others. Would you be content to chew chocolatey bubble gum with that kind of turnabout in taste? Sure would.
