Results: Spring!

I am so looking forward to spring arriving soon. How about you?

One of the things I look forward to are the bulbs I have planted springing up, and the flower blooming. Hyacinths are so fragrant, tulips are so vibrant, daffodils are so pretty. Do you have like watching the bulbs sprout and bloom, too?

I enjoy pulling the weeds and grasses out of the flower gardens, the smell of the soil being turned and returned to order when the roots are pulled, seeing the soil and remaining plants I choose to leave there. How about you?

Spreading mulch is next. I used to like black mulch, but now I am more inclined to red mulch. The end result is gorgeous! Do you spread mulch annually, too?

When the job in the flower garden is complete, I always feel a great sense of accomplishment, and maybe a little bit of pride, too. My home looks neat and in order, just the way I like it. Do you feel that same sense of accomplishment when the flower gardens are in order?

Not everyone likes working in their own yard, not everyone has a yard to work in. I am grateful that I do. I am grateful to see the dirt under my nails, and cleaning my hands afterwards. I enjoy every single minute of the work and the end results. I hope you do, too.
