I have my cell phone bill set up to be paid automatically each month. I got the text that it was paid, great. Then two hours later, I get a text saying my service was inactive for nonpayment. Checking my credit card website, I could see the payment had been posted. Who to call? Credit Card company

I decide to call the cell phone company. Seemed to me the mistake was on their end. The very nice woman told me a 'glitch' made it where the payment didn't post. Since it was a weekend she was limited in what she could do. Thus, I could: Pay again over the phone and call again on Monday to ask for a refund of the double payment.

Fine, since my cell phone is my only phone and this woman didn't seem to be giving me many options here, I paid again. However, I then called my credit card company to report the double charge. They told me this kind of thing happens a lot and often when the customer calls back they are told that the money will not be refunded but instead will be applied to the next bill the following month. This gave me a moment of pause. So should I: Stick with my current cell phone provider and hope this will never happen again.
