Results: Work for retired and disabled

In a meeting with family and friends I found out about a company which buys leads (quotes of people who want to get a service) and then they have sales agents who work from home contacting them. Mostly their sales team is built by native English speakers who live abroad, in countries like Philippines, Ecuador, El Salvador, etc. They are getting u$s 1500 average income working from home, 9 hours a day. They are sending and receiving emails, making and receiving calls to place orders. It is a lot of money in certain countries and highly appreciated, as they can stay close to their families, save money as they don’t have to travel and, above all, save time. They are not making cold calls, but responding to requested quotes. Some people in the meeting said it was offensive to offer an American or Canadian living in their country such an income. That outsourcing was the only way out. But I’m not quite convinced about that, as I do know retired people who want to work and can’t get a job, and disabled people who can’t get a job, no matter how hard they try. What do you think?
