You get what you vote for. So to the parents of the Fairfax School District who voted for this or were too lazy not to vote, when your tweenager asks you what "if you don't c*m, you have to drink it" (a direct quote from one of the books slated to be put in the school library) means, you have no one to blame but yourselves.

It appears progressive school board matters getting sworn in on explicit banned books is the latest rage. This story is now the second time this month we've heard about someone doing so. The first was the school board president at Central Bucks School District in Pennsylvania. More recently, Karl Frisch, new chairman of the Fairfax County School Board, got sworn in on a stack of books including "Gender Queer" and "Flamer" instead of the Bible. Would you support someone in a leadership position at your children's school (if you don't have children, imagine you do) being sworn in on a stack of explicit banned books that they would like to put in the school library for your kids to read?

Five books in total, per his website. "He was sworn in on a stack of the five LGBTQ-themed books most frequently banned by other school systems." In case you are curious, the image shows a section of the book, Gender Queer (Admin note: We are unable to include the image as it is too graphic for Tellwut so please google if you are curious). Do you agree with explicit books, namely LGBTQ-themed, being kept out of (or banned, as progressives prefer to call it) public school libraries?

These books are "banned" in the same way Hustler magazine and a copy of All T*t F*cking Volume 8 are "banned." There are parents who feel explicit material should not be readily available while their kids are captive audiences in public schools. Then there are Democrats, many of whom aren't parents, who feel if the explicit material is written by an award-winning author on the LGBTQsolveforX spectrum, it should be forced on your kids, and you are a -phobe for saying otherwise (author opinion). If you feel that this material should not be available for school-aged children to read, do you find it appalling that people who DO want such books in school libraries are sometimes elected into public school leadership positions?

Flamer does. Reports indicate the novel is semi-autobiographical and about a boy bullied at a Boy Scout summer camp for, and this is a quote, "acting in a manner considered stereotypical of gay men." Per the book, that appears to mean passing around a soda bottle, ejaculating in it, and then the person who doesn't ejaculate gets to drink from the bottle filled with everyone else's... I think you get the point. Does this sound appropriate for middle school children to be reading?

Gender Queer is Chelsea Clinton's favorite book. It's weird how so many books schools put in libraries to promote "inclusion" and "tolerance" include graphic sex. Had this been a comic book where a girl had her mouth on a boy's genitals, that would be sexist and inappropriate. But if it's a boy with his mouth on another boy's genitals and written by someone who identifies an L,G, B, especially T, Q, A, I, other I, P, or whatever the +'s are, it's inclusion and tolerance (author opinion). Do you get tired of hearing about the strong push to get LGBTQ+ material (that many deem inappropriate) in the hands of impressionable children?
