Sounds rather kinky, right? Actually it's a person who tends a church and grounds. I worked as one for a while in Michigan. "Glorified janitor" as I called it. Below a few memories and thoughts.
1. It's a business - churches do not operate by the will of God. Takes money to pay for the building and all within, utilities, staff. Some of that from donations, others events held, groups who used for meetings. Interesting to see from that standpoint and be a part of. Ever have a job or experience you didn't think much about what went on to make it happen?

2. The Lawn - as seen in the first pic which is the actual place, church set on a plot of land with a huge lawn, grove of pine trees outdoor service held in summer. Was a fellow who tended flower beds, lawn up to me. Cool riding mower I dubbed "Angel". Had side wings that could be raised or lowered for a wider cut or trim around things. Rather enjoyed cutting grass, a bit mindless. Is it something you can get into?

3. More to it - there was an AA group who meet weekly, hosted The Lighthouse for homeless for a week, summer schools. Wasn't all praise the Lord, but social aspect of the community. Had a deep affect on me meeting people with their issues. Even gone to a support group of some type?
