It's not polite for me to ask how much did she receive but I searched for the info. online and found out that this policy will pay up to $9000 to the family of the deceased for funeral assistance if the cause of death is COVID related. Do you know anybody who receive this kind of assistance?

This policy is covered under the Public Health Emergency and National Emergency declarations for COVID-19 and it will end on May/11/2023 meaning COVID related illnesses are no longer a pandemic health threat as it once was. Do you think this policy should end earlier than the stated date because COVID-19 has not been a major threat for over a year now?

So far this policy has paid out 2.8 Billion to eligible applicants for COVID-19 funeral assistance. By now, we all know that many measures offered by the US government during the Pandemic were prime targets for frauds, scams,... ranging from unemployment fraud to fake free business loans. Worst yet, the government did not find out that it was defrauded until it already paid out billions of taxpayers' money to the bad guys. Do you think this is just another opportunity for people to take advantage of the government's generosity?
