Results: What do you think about this?

I was on a forum the other day and some people said they live in a Toll House, meaning they pay for everything as they use it. They would take the full price of something and divide it into units; like $6 for 12 rolls of toilet paper would be 50c per roll so when they finished each roll they would throw 50c in a jar. Some other examples were bread (cost divided by slices), instant coffee (cost divided by teaspoons (200g is about 40 teaspoons). All the adults in the household participated in it. Their reasoning is that it's easier to make sure you have the funds to replace these items if they are always paid for. I think it's a great idea and have started doing it myself.
