Rodrigo Duterte is the recently elected president of the Philippines. As part of his campaign platform, Duterte promised to kill 100,000 criminals and dump the bodies in the bay within 6 months of taking office. Now, in this cynical day and age, I think most of us assume that politicians won't ever actually keep campaign promises. We'd still be right- though numbers range (it's difficult to get accurate numbers on police shootings in the US, even worse there), since he took office, up to 2,000 alleged criminals and drug addicts have been killed, with the police openly claiming at least 712. He's been in office since July of this year. Do you find these numbers horrific?
