Results: Airbnb Host Turns Away Guest For Being Black

An Ontario man has come forward with a racist situation he experienced while booking an Airbnb. Corne Van Hoepen was planning to travel to Vancouver with his friend, who is a black male. When Van Hoepen booked the Airbnb the host named Grace asked if any of the people staying at the apartment would be black. Once Van Hoepen revealed that his friend is black, Grace remarked that black people were not allowed in the building. Van Hoepen has since reported Grace and she has been removed from the website.
