A model has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Australian bushfire relief by offering nude photos in exchange for donations. Kaylen Ward, 20, calling herself the Naked Philanthropist on social media, was recently looking at coverage of the fires in Australia and wondered how she could help. She donated $1,000 herself, but thought how she could turn her over 30,000 Twitter followers into a fundraising idea. In four days, Ward estimates she has raised more than $700,000 for the victims of Australia's bushfire crisis – by sending nude photographs of herself to anyone who donates more than $10 to one of her chosen charities and sends her the receipt. Ward already sells nude photos online, so she thought why not do it for charity. Instagram had other ideas. Although she was running the campaign on Twitter, word of it spread to Instagram, where Ward had 50,000 followers. On Saturday, Ward said Instagram shut down her account, claiming she'd violated its guidelines. Do you feel Instagram had the right to shut down her account, if she was doing this fundraising" on Twitter?

Ward's efforts have inspired other sex workers to offer naked photographs in exchange for donations to Australia's bushfire relief funds. Katie Day, a Vancouver-based sex worker, says she saw the Naked Philanthropist's tweet and "thought it was a really great way to encourage people to donate". She tweeted that she was joining Ward's efforts. She already raised more than $1,000 in 24 hours. Does it bother you that this money is being raised by selling nude photos?

In 2018, Cambridge University students put out a calendar that created some controversy. Their sports teams, including swimming, skiing, rock 'n' roll dancing and netball players were pictured in the buff in historical building around the prestigious university, as well as the university town. The money raised all went to charities that were important to the university, such as Beat Eating Disorders, Mary's Meals, Papyrus, and the Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre. Would you be willing to support an endeavour like this, if the money raised went to a good cause?
