Ten years ago, on December 14, 2012, a lone gunman walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, and shot and killed 26 people, including 20 children. Thoughts and prayers went out, but even more to the point, calls for gun reform did. Ten years later, nothing has been done. On Monday, a Nashville elementary school was once again the tragic scene of yet another school shooting, with 3 children and 3 adults this time being gunned down. And once again, thoughts and prayers went out, and yet again, so are calls for gun reform. My question is, WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR THE LAWMAKERS IN THE U.S. TO FINALLY DO SOMETHING?

There have been more than 130 mass shootings across the US so far this year, including the latest in Nashville. Of these, an astounding 89 (not a typo) at a K-12 school. That's this year alone. By the time this survey gets published, those numbers may even be higher. Over the last few years, gun laws in Tennessee have become less strict after lawmakers approved legislation that removed requirements for permits and background checks. Despite calls from local law enforcement, Republican lawmakers are now looking to loosen the state's gun laws even further, contending that gun owners' rights need to be expanded. The Nashville shooter legally purchased the guns used. Do you think it's as ridiculous as I, that gun laws appear to be getting more relaxed, rather than stricter, as they should be?

To mark 10 years since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, Good Morning America asked survivors of school shootings across generations to write letters to future survivors about healing and moving forward. I'm pretty sure they never thought they would need to write these letters, ten years later. If you watch this video, does it make you angry that nothing seems to be changing with gun laws in the U.S.?

Within 10 minutes of police saying that the suspect was transgender, the hashtag #TransTerrorism trended on Twitter. Around the same time, Republican lawmakers — including Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, and conservative firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. — insinuated in social media posts that the shooter's gender identity played a role in the shooting. This detail, according to trans people in the state, has poured fuel on an already combustive environment that has led many of them to fear for their safety. Do you think that this attention has taken away from what the real issue is, and always has been, gun control laws?
