Results: Tempers flare at Catholic school board debate over raising Pride flag

The York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) was debating whether or not to raise the flag at its schools for Pride month in June. The agenda item was discussed in a packed board meeting that quickly boiled over. In the end, board trustees did not vote on raising the flag. A spokesperson said Tuesday's meeting was designed for listening and learning at this stage. Do you think Pride flags should be flown at schools?

In Ontario, Catholic schools are publicly funded. Catholic elementary schools are open to all students who are baptized as Roman Catholic and to children who have 1 or 2 Roman Catholic parents.
