Karen Read is a Massachusetts woman accused of hitting John O'Keefe, her boyfriend, with an SUV and leaving him to die in a snowstorm in Jan 2022. Defense attorneys claim Read is the victim of a police coverup and O'Keefe was actually killed during a fight inside a home where he was found on the lawn (he was a police officer and was drinking with other officers that night). I thought the police coverup thing sounded a bit far fetched, but looking at the evidence, it seems true! There is not really much evidence to show that she did it but A LOT (in my opinion) to show that he was killed in a fight/accident and it's been covered up. Again there is a lot to this case so I can't really explain it all but if you are interested in true crime or this case, I highly recommend reading about it.
