Results: Ukraine Crisis: Russian Parliament Approves Military Force

A crisis was sparked in Ukraine when now overthrown President Victor Yanukovych abandoned a deal between Ukraine and the European Union. Months of protests were followed by security forces killing many protesters and President Yanukovych fleeing to Russia.
As civil unrest in Ukraine continues to escalate, Russia’s parliament has just approved a motion to use military force in Crimea, Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin states “I’m submitting a request to use the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine pending the normalization of the socio-political situation in that country”.
U.S President Barack Obama issued a warning to Russia stating “there will be costs” for any military maneuvers Russia launches in Ukraine. "Any violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity would be deeply destabilizing," Obama declared Friday in a statement from the White House.
