As sad is it sounds that a young life was lost, I learned from the news that he was a known gang member, was involved in an earlier shooting and possessed an illegal gun he pointed at a policeman before he was shot. Does this information makes you feel still, he was just a kid, they should have neutralized him but not kill him

Many comments on FB contain angry comments against the mother of the teen, saying how she did not know that her boy had a gun from his FB picture and did not stop his gang involvement - she knew about it since he had prior altercations with police. What do you think about it?
I don't think she could have done anything - he was 16, not 6

I think she could have done something - like get him into intensive counselling, curfew, monitor his online presence and if he would have refused to cooperate place him into a special corrective program
