Legitimate conservative points of view are a vital part of the American political process. As a lifelong moderate and a registered Democrat, I emphatically believe that the US needs a strong, ethical Republican Party. A political party that is constitutionally driven, that believes in holding their elected leaders accountable for their actions, that believes in law and order, and a party that works across the aisle to reach compromises with Democrats to legislate what the majority of Americans want, especially about contentious issues that should be apolitical like abortion, immigration, gun control, public education, etc.

The Republican Party used to believe that America's military readiness is vital to safeguard the nation. Since late February, Alabama Senator(R) Tommy Tuberville has used a procedural tactic known as a hold to block confirmations of all general and flag officers over his opposition to the Pentagon's policy of covering leave and travel expenses for service members who need abortions in the wake of the Supreme Court's reversal of Roe v. Wade. For the first time in modern American history, the US Military will not have a US Senate approved Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a Commandant of the Marines, or an Army Chief of Staff due to retirements. Do you think Sen. Tuberville's action is endangering the readiness of America's armed forces to defend the nation?

In December 2022, while continuing to push the false claim that he lost the 2020 election due to widespread voter fraud, ex-president Donald Trump suggested the "termination of all rules...even those found in the Constitution". Would you vote for someone who puts their own personal needs ahead of the US Constitution and the nation?

Most scholars agree that majority rule and compromise are both core elements of democracies. That includes representative democracies like the US constitutional republic form of government. Do you want your elected officials, regardless of political party, to work together to enact legislature that represents the will of the majority of the American people?

"The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!", Donald Trump. The phrase "the enemy of the people" has a long history that has been used repeatedly by dictators and autocrats to delegitimize foreign governments, opposition parties, and dissenters. Does this kind of rhetoric represent your values?

After Donald Trump was arrested and indicted on state RICO charges in Georgia last month, former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin said in an interview on Newsmax, "Those who are conducting this travesty and creating this two-tier system of justice, I want to ask them what the heck, do you want us to be in civil war? Because that's what's going to happen." Many Republican lawmakers, including the former president, have suggested that his supporters will resort to violence if Trump is found guilty of any of the 91 felony charges that he is currently facing. Do you think that Trump's supporters will respect the outcome of Trump's trials without resorting to violence?
