Whether it's a commonplace, anti-establishment contrarian who doesn't understand how the government and foreign alliances work, a conspiracy theorist who doesn't understand how a global economy benefits the US and Canada or a former POTUS who has formulated his election campaign on revenge and retribution if he is elected again, grievance is at the heart of most or all of their political messaging.
