Results: Gov. Kristi Noem receives criticism from Democrats and Republicans for killing dog
Published on 05/06/2024
WASHINGTON (TND) — A potential Donald Trump running mate received backlash after writing about killing her dog in her new book.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, who is considered to be presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's Vice President contender, wrote in her soon-to-be-released memoir that she shot and killed her 14-month-old puppy for bad behavior.
Noem explained that "Cricket" had an "aggressive personality" and had "misbehaved on a hunting trip," "killed several chickens," and "bit her hand."
"Cricket" wasn't the only animal Noem wrote she killed.
A killing of a goat was detailed in the book as well.
The re-telling of her past drew responses from both sides of the isle. https://www.nbcmontana.com/news/nation-world/gov-kristi-noem-receives-criticism-from-democrats-and-republicans-about-killing-puppy-cricket-and-goat-in-her-upcoming-book-no-going-back-biden-ca
