Earlier in the day I'm composing this survey, I heard political commentator Jim Hightower in one of his radio segments use and define the word "kakistocracy." It took a bit for me to look up its correct spelling, but per Dictionary.com and Hightowerr's explanation, the word defines " government by the worst persons; a form of government in which the worst persons are in power." Before starting this poll, were you familiar with what a kakistocracy is?
Yes (if only because I heard the same Hightower commentary)

Hightower and I would disagree sharply as to whether the current U.S presidential administration in December 2024, when I'm writing, or the one set to replace it in January 2025 better constitutes a kakistocracy. With that in mid, please confine your opinion to the government of the country in which you live (the majority of the time), but which do you believe better constitutes a kakistocfracy?
I'm in the US and believe the Biden administration's more kakistocratic.

Having only today diascovered "kakistcracy," I was put in mind of another word: idiocracy. Again referencing Dictionary.com, the first known use--or coinage?--of that word in the 1870's indicated "personal rule." Since at least the release of the movie Idiocracy in 2006, however the word has more popularly come to be known as a term for government by idiots or stupid people. Were you aware that "idiocracy" existed as a word before the release of the movie using it as a title?

Here's supposing that when this survey is published, there will also be others about politics going live on the same night. But there will likely be fewer about language and words. So, if there are any word(s) or phrase(s) you've recently learned or discovered, and you're excited about it/them, how about sharing in a comment below? Yes, i will.
