On May 19, 1938 two B-10 bombers, piloted by Captain Xu Huansheng and Lt. Tong Yangbo delivered 3 million leaflets over the cities of Nagasaki, Fukuoka and Saga depicting the brutal carnage of Japanese forces on China written in Japanese believing the Japanese public would have information suppressed regarding the evil deeds of their military in China . These Chinese B-10 Bombers went undetected by Japanese defenses. Only to be attacked upon their return to Chinese waters by Japanese forces which failed to target them. Captain Xu's marvel even caught attention for the cover of Life magazine in 1944. Xu eventually became a general in the Taiwanese Air Forces before dying in 1984 in Taipei, Taiwan. Are you surprised that early Chinese dropped leaflets over Japan instead of bombs?
