Results: Button, Button

Button, Button, Who's Got the Button is a simple circle game. Players pass a button behind their backs, stopping at random. The player who is It must guess who has the object. Once the holder is identified, they become it. While not a big fan of the game, I do recall playing it a time or two. Have you ever played this game?

In her semi-autobiographical novel, Little House in the Big Wood, Laura Ingalls Wilder describes the beautiful hand carved buttons on her young mother's best dress. Can't say for sure what the buttons were- carved blackberries maybe- but I do remember wishing I had some myself. Have you ever read any of the Little House books?

Once upon a time, buttons were carefully removed from clothing that was going into the rag-bag; these were saved for later use.
