Results: This is part 3 of the "Books and movies" surveys only this time they are movies that, even though I enjoyed them at the time, I wouldn't watch them again. I still recommend these movies however if you haven't seen them.

Movies
When I retired and started travelling, I converted my movies into digital/download. The ones I never tire of anyway. I have a hard drive called "Good Movies Archived". I didn't archive these ones but they are good movies you should watch at least once. Just like my surveys, some of these movies are long so get the big popcorn ready.

This first one, Dr Zhivago, is described as a Historical Romance. I guess you could call a Romance and I did watch it with my girlfriend at the time but, by the time we finished watching it, we were more interested in a comforting cuddle and having a drink at the pub than anything more "lovey dovey." If you have seen this movie did you enjoy it and would you recommend it to TW members?

This second one is Saving Private Ryan. Some will disagree but, I think war is brutal enough as it is, without going to the movies to see a realistic depiction of it. I would rather see a more sugar coated depiction of war and avoid the real thing. Meanwhile I wish our politicians would avoid starting wars in the first place. Schindler's List also falls into this category. Have you seen either of these movies and, if so, would you recommend them to TW members.

The third movie is Avatar. When I watched it, several members in the audience got very angry and I read news reports about other powerful emotional reactions to the film. There have been 5 Avatar made so far and that makes me angry. Have you seen the movie and please note in comments if you have seen it more than once and/or seen the others in the series?

The fourth movie is a great movie if you were around in the 1960s and is the only one I have been to where the audience stood up, booed and threw stuff at the screen. This was a most unusual reaction from a normally stoic (except for soccer) Scottish crowd. The movie was Easy Rider and whereas I can listen to the soundtrack, the movie itself was a one of. Have you seen this movie and, if so, do you remember how you reacted to it?
