I have seen many of the versions of this story, however this version is my favorite. A TV adaptation of the classic Alexandre Dumas novel. Edmond Dantes is falsely accused by those jealous of his good fortune, and is sentenced to spend the rest of his life in the notorious island prison, Chateau d'If. While imprisoned, he meets the Abbe Faria, a fellow prisoner whom everyone believes to be mad. The Abbe tells Edmond of a fantastic treasure hidden away on a tiny island, that only he knows the location of. After many years in prison, the old Abbe dies, and Edmond escapes disguised as the dead body. Now free, Edmond must find the treasure the Abbe told him of, so he can use the new-found wealth to exact revenge on those who have wronged him. This was based on a true story, found in the Court Records of France by Alexander Dumas. Have you ................

In the tiny kingdom of Euphrania, the King (Sir Michael Hordern) and his court are most anxious to get Prince Edward (Richard Chamberlain) wed. But Edward wants to marry for love. Meanwhile, young Cinderella (Gemma Craven) finds life drastically altered with her father's death, as she's forced to be a servant in her own house. But a cheery Fairy Godmother (Annette Crosbie) helps her with her impossible tasks, and even gets her to take an evening out at the King's bride-finding ball. But when the magic wears off, and the prince with shoe-in-hand searches for Cinderella and finds her, what is going to happen to Euphrania without the needed marriage alliance to prevent war. This story was partially inspired by a historical mystery based on a real state prisoner during the reign of Louis XIV of France. While Alexandre Dumas' novel popularized the story, the core narrative of an unidentified, masked prisoner exists within historical records. This prisoner was arrested in 1669 and held in various prisons, including the Bastille, for over 30 years until his death in 1703. The secrecy surrounding his identity and the mask, often described as velvet but later popularized as iron, fueled speculation and legend. The prisoner was buried in the parish cemetery of Saint-Paul under the name "Marchioly" after his death in the Bastille in 1703. The story of Louis XIV of France, and his attempts to keep his identical twin brother Philippe imprisoned away from sight and knowledge of the public, and Philippe's rescue by the aging Musketeers, led by D'Artagnan. This is the story of the evolution of the town of Centennial, Colorado. It follows the paths of dozens of people who come to the area for many reasons: money, freedom, or crime. It also shows the bigoted treatment of the Native Indians by the advancing U.S. colonists. It is topped off with a murder mystery that takes 100 years to solve.
