I love music, especially rock, and more especially, metal rock. Born in the fifties, experienced the sixties, loved the '70s, '80s, '90s, and beyond! Iron Maiden is a great band, for over 30 years. Whether or not you're a fan, I'd like to hear your thoughts, and, as always, N/As are de rigueur.

Bruce Di*kinson, Maiden's iconic singer, has an interesting resume. He's a commercial pilot, qualified for 747s in several countries. and has also ferried the band around the world. Did you know that? Yes, knew both.

Bruce D*ckinson is also an accomplished fencer, and has won quite a few fencing championships in his lifetime. Have you ever tried fencing? (I have, it was a bucket list item. The masks smelled like other people's spit, ewww, and I could only work one side of my body, didn't like that.) Cool!

Finally: Bruce was diagnosed with throat cancer, survived it, and chronicled his experience in his autobiography- "What Does This Button Do?" (a bit Dennis-the Menace, lol). Does this sort of tale inspire you, or interest you? Yes, well done, him.
