Tom Petty (1950-2017) was a musician & leader of the Rock Band, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, formed in 1976. He was also in the late 1980s supergroup, The Traveling Wilburys. He had success as a solo artist too. He had 10 # 1 hits & his shocking death from an overdose was caused by a fractured hip.
