In my first attempt at a survey on stage musicals, (The Phantom of the Opera) a few mentioned wanting one on The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which did in fact start as a stage musical. So let's do the Time Warp again...

Richard O'Brien - is the mastermind behind this, creating the music, lyrics and story. He plays Riff Raff the butler in the film version. It was first staged 1973 in West End, London. O'Brien is quite the character and has been in several films, done voice work, below a few. Any you've seen?

The musical - the story is a funny take on old horror and sci-fi films, typically B grade. A young couple named Brad and Janet have a car breakdown and wind up in a mansion where Dr. Frank-N-Furter is about to bring his creation Rocky to life. The video is a fan made one suggesting what the film opening might have looked like without the lips. I have never personally seen this performed live, but would like to. Have you?

Partici...pation - both the stage and film version became cult classics, people dressing as the characters, talking back to the actors or screen, dancing. (And in the case of the film, throwing things). I'd be remiss without including 'The Time Warp', a party number Brad and Janet encounter. Have you ever done this dance yourself, either at at a showing of the musical / film or elsewhere?
Yes - it's astounding....

Shock Treatment - this 1981 film is the follow-up to Rocky Horror. All the original cast return other than Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon as Brad and Janet, but play different roles. The premise is our pair going to see a local public TV channel taping and getting wrapped up in the bizarre world of it. This has since be made into a stage show. Were you aware there was a sequel to this cult classic, perhaps seen it?
Yes - aware and have either seen the film or live production.
