Trying to Get to You (Rose Marie McCoy/Charles Singleton). This was recorded by Elvis Presley on July 11, 1955 at Sun Studio in Memphis and released in March 1956 from the album Elvis Presley. Trying to get to You was the song that a 15 year old Paul McCartney rewrote as In Spite of All the Danger, the very first song recorded by The Quarrymen back in 1958 before they were The Beatles. I Love You Because (Leon Payne). Presley recorded this on July 4 and 5, 1954. This was the B side of Trying to Get to You. I chose this version because his daughter Lisa Marie was mixed in to the final verse and I like they way they sound together. Do you know this song?
