Some famous singers had hits that were written by other famous singers that we may not have been aware of. Here are a few well known ones supplemented by some less well known ones.

Paul McCartney and the band The Beatles are quite well known for their songwriting ability for the group. Paul is also quite prolific in his writing of songs for other artists. Here are some examples. Which do you like?
This first clip shows how Paul wrote the song "Step Inside Love" for UK singer Cilla Black in one night and brought the almost complete song with lyrics memorized as well as how it should be sung. His suggestions to Cilla here show that his ideas were best as usual.

Dolly had an early hit with the song Jolene. Years later in 2022 the trio Chapel Hart won the Golden Buzzer with You Can Have Him Jolene which is a sequel of sorts to that original song. The official video is a classic.
