Musical Discoveries Part 1

Thought I would do a series on more current music you here may or may not know, and may want to check out to expand your musical tastes. If you want to listen to oldies, YouTube has you covered. But I'm sure some of you would like to check out some new stuff.
1. Faouzia, (born Faouzia Ouihya)is a Moroccan-Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. Born in Casablanca, Morocco, she moved with her family to Manitoba, Canada at a young age. She's a Muslim woman who, in terms of the music landscape, is quite a rarity, and her voice is even more so. She has been active since 2015, as a fifteen year old, posting songs to YouTube. Personally, I think her voice is flawless and vulnerable, with this song being probably my favourite of hers. If you do listen, what do you think?

2. Elina Stridh is a Swedish singer/songwriter based in Stockholm, Sweden. She first solidified a strong reputation for having co-written songs for NEIKED, Maroon 5, Zara Larsson, Hilary Duff and Astrid S. In 2018, she started releasing her own music. Her voice is haunting, and mature, (reminds me a bit of Joni Mitchell). Again, this is my favourite song of hers. If you listen to the video, what do you think?
