"Are you blind when you're born? Can you see in the dark? Dare you look at a king? Would you sit on his throne?" So begins the 1981 stage musical Cats by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Lyrics taken from T.S. Elliot's 1939 book of poems Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats...

The Naming of Cats - set in a junkyard in NY city, the musical introduces us to a variety of cats. This leads to the Jellicle Ball and the ascension of one cat to the 'Heaviside Layer'. We learn naming cats is a difficult matter, and that each must have three different names. If you own a cat, does it have three names? (Keep in mind one only the cat knows).

Memory - sung by Grisabella, this is the best known song from the musical. She was once the glamour cat, but now old in age with little left but her memories. Yet if you touch her, you get it, shared memories unspoken. The video is from the film version some found odd due to the cast weren't in make-up, but digital creations using live actors. What's your take, okay, or prefer the stage make-up?
Yes - fine with me.
