Results: Oh For Schitt's Sake!

Two "Schitt's Creek" fans went to the New York City Rose Apothecary pop-up and left with more than a novelty souvenir or ironic t-shirt. John Calado got down on one knee in front of his partner, Jonathan Chiaramonte, at the pop-up storefront, and proposed. The couple's shared love of the show, created by Dan Levy, was a key component as their relationship blossomed. So was their appreciation and love of the show's same-sex couple, David and Patrick, who co-run Rose Apothecary, and their engagement, at the end of last season, was the inspiration behind this proposal. Are you a fan of Schitt's Creek, and did you enjoy the proposal on the season's last show?

The sixth and final season of the show, which appears to include the nuptials of the couple who first met and fell in love in season 3, will premiere Jan. 7, 2020. Are you sad that this is the last season for the show?

Schitt's Creek is a classic fish-out-of-water story: after they lose their entire fortune, the Rose family head to the only asset the government has allowed them to keep: the town of Schitt's Creek. The cosmopolitan Roses, who had purchased the town as a joke, move in to the local motel, where they share two adjoining rooms; they stick out like sore thumbs in their new home. But at its heart, Schitt's Creek is a show about family. And not just the family we are born into, but the family we cultivate. And at the heart of it, the show has a sweetness about it, that is rare in TV comedies these days. It is available on Netflix, so there is still time to catch up before season 6 starts in January.
