Bugs Bunny got his official start in 1940, though variations of him existed before that. My favorite Warner Brothers cartoons featuring him are parodies of opera or use music in a funny way, often with Elmer Fudd. Let's take a look at clips from four.

"What's Up, Doc?" This toon has Bugs telling his life story to the "Disassociated Press". He recounts how he got into music and dance early on. It features Bugs and Elmer singing "What's Up, Doc?", a common saying of Bugs. Did you know there was a tune based on this?

"Hillbilly Hare" - Bugs encounters brothers who think he's part of a rival clan they are feuding with. He tricks them into a square dance and things go from there. Ever been to a square dance?
Yes I have.

"The Rabbit of Seville" - Time for a little culture. This is a parody of Gioachino Rossini's "The Barber of Seville". The toon is paced around bits of music from it. How often do you go to a barber or hair stylist?
Once a month.

"What's Opera, Doc?" - A take off of Richard Wagner operas such as "The Ring of the Niebling" cycle. Elmer is a Viking, Bugs takes the guise of Brunhilde at one point. Stylized look and the one toon Elmer "kills" Bugs. Ever seen an opera?
No, don't like operas, musicals, stage plays, etc.
