We have been watching the marathons on ION channel, or keeping it on as background noise. It's great because I can catch up episodes I've never seen. Early last week I noticed most of them are newer versions of old original shows, MAGNUM P.I., MacGYVER, HAWAII:5-0, and F.B.I. We had an interesting back-and-forth comparing the shows, remembering why we liked watching the originals. Just the few changes changes the vibe in the new show. When Gene Hackman, wife & dog's sudden death happened, one of us said he was in the original The F.B.I. (1965-1974). This survey is part small tribute to him, and part to Thomas Magnum, MacGyver, Steve McGarrett & Popeye of my childhood.
