2. There was a time when I was younger that this same side of my fam' would meet much more often, including at least one summer get-together and New Year's Day 9noly a week after Christmas!). Were family functions more frequent when you were younger as well?
3. Apartment dweller that I an, I don't have a house to host a family to-do but would be willing to reserve my buildiing's front communal space, which includes a kitchenette, a couple of large dinner tables and plenty of seating apart from the chairs around those tables. Have or would you ever host, have hosted, would host, have atetnded or would attend a family get-together in such a setting?
4. Infrequently as I see most of them, I'm grateful for those times this side of my family does meet up--more so Christmas than funerals!--because, though I may not have much in common with them, they're generally warm, personable and caring people, there's always good food to be had, and usuallly a game of some type...with prizes, none of which I won at this year's Christmassy function. If not on the holiday(s) itself/themselves, do you spend time with extended famiy sometime between early December and mid-January?
